When I postpone lip filler — and the questions that decide it
A good consult should feel like decision support, not a soft close. I postpone more often than I used to — not out of fear, but because waiting a week costs less than correcting a shape I never asked for.
I postpone when:
- I have a big event inside two weeks and cannot afford peak swelling photos
- I am still stuck between a flip and filler and cannot name one primary goal
- The injector only uses vibe words (“natural,” “fresh”) and cannot translate my photo into placement
- I feel rushed into a same-day decision without seeing the product plan
Questions that unstick the room:
- What bothers me most — smile curl, resting size, asymmetry, or corners?
- Which option fits that complaint first: flip, filler, or neither yet?
- Roughly how much product, which area, and who injects?
- If I hate the first pass, what is the revise or dissolve path?
When the fork is flip vs filler, I open this first: lip flip vs lip filler.
When the fork is “I want natural but cannot picture it,” I use: lip filler shapes and goals.
Not medical advice — just the checklist I bring so I leave with a plan I can picture.
